School Board honors Oak Grove Student All-Stars

Posted on: April 24, 2017

On Monday, the School Board honored Student All-Stars from Oak Grove Elementary School for their motivation, perseverance, growth, and school and community service.

Oak Grove students are:

Evan Lathrop

Evan has consistently demonstrated great determination, persistence, humor and integrity in fifth grade. He has worked hard to maintain his “Self-Manager” status this year. That means he has to get his math done to 100 percent each week, which is a challenge, and turn in all assignments on time, as well as show responsibility and integrity throughout the school days. Evan is a champion for issues of injustice. He will be a hero to many through his life. Evan motivates himself to stretch his abilities and be the very best he can be.

Dane Tilley

Dane is the hardest working 5th grader at Oak Grove. He has an outstanding work ethic and continues to push himself every minute of the school day. He has a growth mindset and knows that hard skills will eventually be easy with a positive attitude and lots of hard work. Dane always has a smile on his face and is a great friend to every other student at Oak Grove.

A new elementary school is proposed near Timber Ridge, and new classrooms and a major renovation is proposed for Oak Grove Elementary School.
